Lift Irrigation Projects

Lift Irrigation Projects

Here are projects we completed

Lift irrigation schemes must accomplish two main tasks: first, to carry water by means of pumps or other means, from the water source to the main delivery chamber, which is situated at the topmost point in the command area. Second. They must distribute this water to the field of the beneficiary farmers by means of a suitable and proper distribution. So that in Lift Irrigation system, the gravity flow of water by canals or river is not available or used. Siddhi did many lift irrigation projects up to this date and we are doing major projects which are unique projects in the world. For project details please check the list of projects done by siddhi.

kaleswaram Lift Irrigation Scheme

This is the largest project taken up by the government after the formation of Telangana. The objective of the project is to divert 2 TMC of water every day for 90 days making it to 180 TMC.  Taking the future in perspective, the project is built to carry 3 TMC of water every day.

In addition to the existing segments of Kaleswaram project, MEIL was entrusted with the execution of Medigadda, Annaram, & Sundilla segments. These are some of the new and redesigned segments of the Kaleswaram project. The management has engaged multiple teams, comprising of engineers and thousands of manual workers, to execute these works parallelly on a 24×7 basis. The target is to complete all work by the kharif season of 2018.
MEIL’s scope in these segments involves the construction of pump houses, pressure mains, delivery cisterns, approach channels, gravity canals, allied electro-mechanical & hydro-mechanical works, head regulators (to lift 160 TMC of water), and three 220/11 kV substations.
